An Italian athlete has made sure history will not repeat itself after being spotted racing in tight pants.
Decathlon athlete Alberto Nonino made headlines across the world for the wrong reasons after a wardrobe malfunction saw his meat and two veg slip out of his loose shorts after making the rash decision to go commando prior to his 400m race at the 2022 World Athletics U20 Championships.
After a bright start to the race where the 18-year-old dashed past two opponents, it all went horribly wrong in the last lap. He could be seen slowing down considerably while grabbing his groin area and it turned out that the train had left the station, so to speak.

Sports journalist David Sanchez de Castro tweeted: "World Athletics U20 Championships in Cali, Colombia. Last series of the 400 meters decathlon. The Italian Alberto Nonino in lane five begins very well but crosses the finishing line last. He had his p**** out, literally."
However, Nonino has learned a very valuable lesson – do not race commando in loose shorts. And his latest Instagram post indicates that he is putting his new knowledge to good use.
Donning a pair of tighter pants, there was no concern over where his wang would end up, safely tucked away where it should be. Nonino posted an emotional message to his Instagram, where he admitted that there had been more press interest than usual.
