Just as sports fans are eternally fixated on discovering the latest athletes, Taylor Rooks has worked her way to becoming one of America's most well-known reporters.
After a decade or so in the industry, the 30-year-old has started to garner more attention in recent years—and has even become a meme in her own right. That's not to dismiss Rooks' wide sports knowledge, however, which has seen her interview some of the biggest names in the NBA, UFC and NFL, along with others.
Her most recent break-out moment took place during an interview with Israel Adesanya shortly before he lost his UFC middleweight championship to Alex Pereira this past Saturday. When the Bleacher Report broadcaster asked 'The Last Stylebender' the craziest method he's utilised to make weight, Adesanya said he once 'busted a nut' to fit on the scales.

Which major sports event would you want Taylor Rooks to report on next? Let us know in the comments section.
Rooks showed she was a good sport after breaking into a fit of laughter alongside the former UFC champ, quizzing Adesanya on how much weight the act was worth. Rooks was widely praised for the hour-long chat, though she's had interview moments go viral without nearly as much effort.
Many fans will have first become aware of Rooks in 2018 when she interviewed NBA legend Dwyane Wade during her time with SportsNet New York. Sports fans took to the internet in droves after Wade appeared to struggle making eye contact with his colleague, who stunned in a body-hugging outfit.
And it wouldn't be the last time a star athlete caused hysterics while being interviewed by the black-haired beauty. Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry was recently 'memed' himself after fans noticed his hands positioned peculiarly in his pockets while speaking to Rooks, leading many to suggest he had something to hide.
Given the star she's now established as one of the major up-and-comers in sports reporting, one could forgive Henry for being excited to speak with Rooks. Twitter user @SoLaidBack_ underlined that excitement by tweeting a gif of Henry and Rooks walking and talking, while the caption read: "The ol hands in the pocket trick."
None of this should obscure Rooks' journalistic credentials, which includes her uncanny ability to get athletes to open up in unprecedented fashion. Her talents aren't restricted to sports, either, given rapper Meek Mill even told her how he taught New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft about race relations while in prison.
Rooks' star continues to grow in the sports industry, and that only promises greater access and insights into some of the word's biggest teams and athletes. The Missouri native has displayed a knack for finding those viral moments to date, and we as spectators can only hope there's more to come.
