NBA legend Michael Jordan was moved to tears as he fondly remembered his friend and rival Kobe Bryant, whom he said was "like a little brother."
After helping Bryant's widow, Vanessa, down the stairs from the stage when she finished speaking, Jordan was the first NBA player to speak at Monday's memorial service.
Jordan had a little trouble controlling his emotions as he touched on their on-court battles – "Kobe left nothing in the tank. He left it all on the floor" – and he discussed their off-court relationship – "As I got to know him, I wanted to be the best big brother that I could be.”
But perhaps the most memorable part of Jordan's remarks came when he paused to compose himself as tears streamed down both cheeks – and realized the moment would likely become "another crying meme."
