Conor McGregor’s insane body transformation leaving team-mates and fans baffled

Conor McGregor’s new, bulky look has left fans – and even his teammate – absolutely stunned, with his latest Instagram picture showing his new size bulging out even through a thick wooly jumper.

The Irishman last fought in July but he sustained a broken leg and has been on the mend since.

Because of his immobility, training ahead of his return to action this year has been primarily weight-training, meaning the 33-year-old has put on a huge amount of muscle.

Indeed, McGregor has beefed up tremendously, weighing as much as 13 stone 5lbs at one point.

In a recent Instagram post, the former two-weight UFC champion picture himself beside his sisters Erin and Aoife.

His SBG team-mate and fellow Irishman Cian Cowley commented: "Steak and eggs the size of you."

Another online user joined in and said: "Heavyweight champ next?"

"Fresh champ. Middleweight haha," a third added.

McGregor lost to Dustin Poirier in the summer, the bout finishing just moments before the end of round one, with the Dublin-born fighter breaking his leg during the proceedings.

Former UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen predicted that when McGregor returns he could even be given a straight title shot.

He said via his YouTube channel: “There’s a story going around that Conor McGregor is going to return right into a title fight with Charles Oliveira.

"To support that story is a guy who has a say in this called Charles Oliveira. Charles said, ‘Justin Gaethje, you’ve done everything right and it’s no disrespect but step aside, I’m getting my red panty night.’

"Okay, well, we have to listen to the champion of the world. We don’t wanna disrespect Justin Gaethje but put that on hold.

"Oliveira gets to do what’s best for him and he’s made it very clear that he will push the number one contender aside, whoever the hell it is. Happens to be Justin Gaethje.

"But whoever it is, he will push them aside if it means red panty night against Conor McGregor.”
