David Haye mocked by fans for ‘looking like Willy Wonka’ at Fury vs Wilder II

David Haye is working as a BT Sport pundit for Deontay Wilder’s rematch with Tyson Fury tonight – while appearing to be channeling his inner Willy Wonka.

The former world heavyweight champion is providing punditry at the MGM Grand Arena, where Wilder and Fury are set to lock horns for a second time this evening.

Fans are gearing up for arguably the biggest heavyweight dust-up since Lennox Lewis’ clash with Evander Holyfield in 1999.

However, they have taken a break from pondering what will happen in the rematch to mock Haye’s choice of attire.

The boxing faithful have taken to social media to rip into his purple velvet jacket and black scarf combination, with some even comparing him to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory character Wonka.

“Why is David Haye wearing his dressing gown?” asked one.

Another posted: “David Haye rocking the full Willy Wonka look…” along with a picture of Gene Wilder playing the character.

“Is David Haye wearing a valour ladies nightie?” posted a third.

Haye is well positioned to comment on tonight’s main event due to his relevant history with both men involved.

He was scheduled to face Fury back in 2013, only for the fight to fall through due to injury, while also sparring Wilder in the past.

Nevertheless, Haye is convinced the American will come out on top in this evening’s much-anticipated rematch.

“My prediction is if the fight ends by stoppage it will be to Deontay Wilder,” he said.

“If the fight somehow goes the distance it means Fury has been able to take the power of Wilder then he will have been able to accumulate enough rounds to win on points.
