Frank Warren promises Daniel Dubois is ready to get boxing career back on track

Daniel Dubois is ready to get back on the route to the top of the heavyweight division tonight.

But he has a big obstacle in his way straight away in the form of Bogdan Dinu.

The Romanian is sure to give Dubois a stern test in his first fight back after his defeat by Joe Joyce in November.

But I am fully confident despite the hiccup that he will still go the whole way and become a world heavyweight champion. Now it is time for Dubois to go out there and prove me right.

Joyce put in a tremendous performance when they met and was the deserved winner. Now the Rio Olympic silver medallist will get his shot at a world title before Dubois.

But, despite having to take a bit of a detour, 'Dynamite' is ready to get back on course tonight in Telford.

Why do I still have full confidence in Dubois?

Because everything I've seen from him since the Joyce fight has given me confidence he will get there.

Dubois suffered a serious eye injury, two fractures of the orbital bone and bleeding on the retina.

But he recovered very well and showed no fears about getting back in the ring for sparring once he got the all clear. And all the news I'm hearing from the gym is that he has been looking electric in sparring.

There is of course plenty to work on as he looks to add to his ferocious power and will see that over the next few fights. Now is the time to put the Joyce defeat behind him while also still remembering what it is like to lose.

He won't want to taste defeat again, that's for sure. That will motivate him to become even better.

But this is no easy comeback fight that is for sure and looking at the size of Dinu at the press conference he won't be falling over.

Dinu looks up for it, he will see this as his chance to make a name for himself and land some big fights in the future.

The Romanian has only two defeats on his record to Kubrat Pulev and Jarrell Miller while he has knocked out 16 of his 20 victims.

Dubois needs to be switched on and back to his very best to get this one out of the way.

I think we are going to be treated to a very good heavyweight fight.
