Former Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers will return to the octagon on Saturday night as he continues his love affair with MMA.
The 30-year-old will take on American Austin Clem in Dublin as he makes his return after eight months out.
Chalmers has admitted his celebrity past is often mocked by opponents but a source has told The Sun that he was desperate to quit the show after seeing his close friend Gaz Beadle leave.
“Aaron walked out after having enough of the constant partying and boozing," they said.
“He’s been living a really clean and healthy lifestyle recently as he’s been training for his fights. So to go back into this environment really took its toll on him.

“Aaron’s also really missing Gaz and has been saying it doesn’t feel the same without him. They were like best mates in that house so to not have him with him tough for Aaron.
“And it’s the first time he’s been in the house since he hooked up with his girlfriend Talia.”
Chalmers is now totally dedicated to his MMA career and envisages himself participating in the sport for another half a decade.
He is preparing for his sixth fight in the Irish capital and his dedication was evident during his Geordie Shore days as he struggled to walk away from his castmates despite growing disillusioned with the show and its antics.
The source added: “Aaron didn’t want to go back in but he didn’t want to let his castmates down. The producers begged him to reconsider and said they would do everything in their power to make sure he was happy.
“He asked to be able to train every day and be allowed breaks from filming to do so.
“They know how important his fighting career is so this was an exception they were more than happy to make.”
