Mike Tyson and Frank Bruno’s emotional reunion 25 years on from their last heavyweight battle is set to hit our screens this week.

‘Iron’ Mike locked horns with Bruno twice during his legendary boxing career, first stopping the Brit after five rounds in February 1989 before finishing the job two rounds earlier when they met again in March 1996.

A quarter of a century on from that last fight the pair recently met up to film a documentary which will air on NOW TV and Sky Documentaries this Friday.

The programme will show how both men have managed to rebuild themselves and find peace again after suffering respective problems outside the ring.

But that’s not all Tyson and Bruno have in common, as Celebrity Net Worth claim they both have the same amount in their bank accounts.

It is believed the former world heavyweight champions are worth around £7.5million right now, which they have amassed in and out of the ring.

Tyson is said to have raked in a staggering £415million from his iconic 56-fight career, in which he became the youngest world heavyweight champion of all time at 20 years, four months and 22 days old.

However, the New York born star burned through his money at an alarming rate, spending it on big houses, swanky motors and even pet tigers.

He was forced to file for bankruptcy in 2003 after racking up £20million worth of debt, but in the 18 years which have followed he has managed to turn his life around.

As well as starring or holding minor roles in movies like The Hangover, Tyson also had his own animated TV show called Mike Tyson mysteries.

Nevertheless, Tyson has also rebuilt himself by launching a weed ranch called the Tyson Ranch, where he grows and sells his own cannabis brand as well as cannabis-based wellness products.

According to Cheat Sheet, the Tyson Ranch sells over £360,000 worth of weed per month.

He is also understood to have collected £7.5million from his sensational boxing comeback against Roy Jones Jr in November, when he was held to a draw with his fellow boxing Hall of Famer in an exhibition bout.

As for Bruno, who remains one of Britain’s most popular sportsmen ever, he finally tasted world glory in his own career by toppling Oliver McCall in 1995 after two failed challenges.

But six months later the Wandsworth man lost that title when he was stopped by Tyson for a second time in what proved his last-ever bout in March 1996.

His £7.5million net worth has been carefully managed, although he has also dabbled in other fields.

During a 2017 interview with the Telegraph, Bruno said that he had “a few investments” running in the stock market.

He also admitted that he was paid to “bang HP sauce bottles on the table” for a television advert during his heavyweight career.

Bruno has starred in various pantomimes over the years as well as complete a number of voice-overs for TV, but he credits having a “good accountant” for preserving his healthy net worth.
