Two-weight UFC champ fires back at Conor McGregor for calling him ‘little fart’

A bizarre row appears to have broken out between two former UFC champions after Conor McGregor referred to one of his fellow fighters as a "little fart".

Notorious is, well, notorious for engaging in social media beef, and could not resist a prod from retired MMA fighter Henry Cejudo on Twitter.

Cejudo made an indirect reference to the man from Dublin while engaged in a social media rant at UFC boss Dana White over his desire for a chance to become the promotion's first three-belt champion.

"Dana, I needed a break. Honestly, it was getting boring beating up TJ Dillashaw in under a minute and Dominick Snooze in 2," he wrote.

"I got married, had a kid and am now rejuvenated. I wanna be 4C. If I beat up an old guy at a bar and learn how to riverdance will you give me a shot?"

In typically blunt fashion, McGregor simply replied: "Henry Cejuda [sic] is a little fart."

Seemingly not content with getting just one rise out of the Irishman, Cejudo came back with two separate responses.

"What do you know about farting? You always run out of gas," was his quip, which he made after a more visual jibe.

He posted two photos side by side, the first showing McGregor being submitted by Khabib Nurmagomedov and the second being an image of himself beating Dominick Cruz to win the bantamweight title.

Cejudo captioned the photo of McGregor losing: "Double chump," before referring to himself as "double champ".

McGregor is still recovering from a horrific leg break suffered against Dustin Poirier last year, and expects to return to UFC action at some point in 2022.

Meanwhile, Cejudo is plotting a comeback of his own, two years after retiring from the sport following that win over Cruz.

When Max Holloway pulled out of his upcoming title shot against featherweight champion Alex Volkanovski, Cejudo made it clear that he wanted to be the one to replace him.

He is so desperate to become the first UFC champion in three different weights that he has also offered to "beat up" Jake Paul if it will convince White to give him that chance.

"Hey @danawhite Pay me to fight Alex and I’ll beat up Jake Paul for free," the 34-year-old Tweeted.

It seems unlikely that White will grant that wish, though, after appearing to be against the idea of the California fighter being granted a title shot straight away when asked about the subject at a recent UFC event.
