Aguero signs up with Disney after heart problem forced star into retirement

Former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has signed a deal with Disney+ to be a content creator for the platform.

However, don't be expecting Aguero to be starring in a sequel to Encanto in the near future with projects likely to link to the Argentine's career. According to ESPN's Sports Centre, Aguero said: "We think alike, and the projects are exciting. I'm ready."

Since his retirement, Aguero has ramped up his activity as a streamer on the online platform Twitch. Aguero steams himself playing FIFA, and eagle-eyed fans loved how the Argentine propped up his camera using one of his many Player of the Month awards.

Aguero was forced to walk away from the beautiful game last year, shortly after signing for Barcelona, when he suffered breathing problems during a La Liga clash.

"It is a very difficult moment," he said. "The decision I have made I have taken for my health, that is the main reason, because of the problem that I had a month-and-a-half ago.

"I was in good hands of the medical staff who have done their best and have told me the best thing would be to stop playing.

However, months after announcing his retirement, Aguero has already teased he could reverse his decision.

Speaking to Argentine outlet TyC, Aguero said, "Yesterday, it crossed my mind that I could play again. Inter Miami called me but I refused. In two years? Let’s see…"
