Arsenal have agreed a deal-in-principle to sign Sheffield United's goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale for a reported £24million.
However, the Gunners have managed to slash £10million off the price that the Blades were originally quoting Mikel Arteta's side.
Arteta looks set to finally land his man, and the England U21 international has a lot of traits that the Spaniard is looking forward in a keeper – with the ability to use both his hands and feet.
According to Sky Sports, Ramsdale will reportedly sign a four year deal with the option of a fifth.
And he will supply instant competition for the number one shirt at the Emirates.
Ramsdale has not travelled with the Sheffield squad for their clash with West Brom on Wednesday evening.
Slavisa Jokanovic told Sky Sports ahead of the clash: "We felt he was not ready for the game.
We took the decision not to use him for the game.
"He's simply not in the right state of the mind. We prefer not to complicate things and start with Mike [Verrips]."
Ramsdale starred for the Blades last campaign, and he was one of the positives that Sheffield fans could take from the season.

Arteta has been in pursuit of Ramsdale all summer.
However, it looked as though talks were dead in the water last week, and the Gunners entered a pursuit for Neto before Sheffield expressed interest in reopening talks.
Sheffield had initially demanded £40million for their Player of the Season, but that price tag has now fallen dramatically.
The two have agreed a deal for £24million, plus £6million worth of add ons.
