Arsenal quoted £40m for Abraham, Barella enquiry made and Santos wonderkid boost

There's less than one month to go until the start of the new Premier League season, and Arsenal's squad is beginning to take shape.

The Gunners are still hoping to agree fresh terms with midfielder Emile Smith-Rowe, while left-back Nuno Tavares has been brought in from Benfica to bolster the defence.

With stars including Hector Bellerin, Granit Xhaka and Eddie Nketiah set to be moved on before the season opener with Brentford, Arsenal's squad will have a fresh feel about it for the upcoming campaign.

Daily Star Sport have news concerning three stars who could be on their way through the Emirates entrance door over the coming few weeks.

Abraham quote

According to The Telegraph, Arsenal are considering a move for Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham as Thomas Tuchel continues to reshape his own squad for the season ahead.

The Blues are actively looking to sell the out-of-favour 23-year-old, who is also courting interest from West Ham and Aston Villa.

A deal for Abraham won't come cheap, though, with the west Londoners holding out for £40million for the striker's services.

Barella enquiry

How do you rate Arsenal's transfer business so far this summer? Let us know in the comments section.

Inter Milan star Nicolo Barella is the subject of plenty of transfer interest this summer after his dazzling performances helped Italy to win the European Championships.

Liverpool are understood to be interested in the exciting 24-year-old, with reports suggesting the Reds are working on a £60m deal for the midfielder.

Arsenal are also keen, but it appears unlikely Barella will complete a move to the Emirates, with Sportmediaset reporting Inter have rebuffed the Gunners' enquiry.

Santos wonderkid boost

Arsenal have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Santos wonderkid Kaio Jorge.

Jorge, 19, is one of Brazil's hottest properties after finishing as the club's top scorer with five goals in last season's Copa Libertadores.

The star, whose contract runs out in December of this year, is attracting interest from a host of European clubs, including Arsenal, Wolves and Inter Milan

And according to Calciomercato, he could be available for a cut-price fee of £9m.
