An Arsenal spokesperson said today: ‘We will speak to the player to remind him of his responsibilities and establish what has taken place.’
On Monday, sources at the club suggested the player and artist were part of the same bubble. Arsenal have been contacted by Sportsmail for further clarity on the situation.
The fact that Aubameyang added a new tattoo to is collection could be regarded as a direct breach of the government guidelines – which states that all mobile and static tattoo parlours must remain closed during the pandemic.
However, Arsenal will be taking no further action until they speak to the player and determine where and when the incident took place.
