Arsenal owner Stan Kroenke will reportedly reject any new bid from Spotify founder Daniel Ek to buy the club.
Sportsmail exclusively revealed on Wednesday that the Swedish billionaire is preparing to increase his takeover bid to more than £2billion following his unsuccessful opening offer of £1.8bn last month.
Ek previously claimed that under-fire Gunners owner Kroenke had told him that his family ‘didn’t need the money’ when he tried to buy the club last time.

However, sources close to the Ek camp disclosed that a second bid ‘north of £2bn’ is being readied and that they ‘are not going anywhere and want to get a deal done’. Club insiders have admitted they are waiting for a second offer.
However, according to The Mirror, Kroenke’s position has not changed and he will still not entertain any second offer to buy the Premier League giants.
Spotify founder Ek, 38, launched his bid amid a backdrop of furious protests at the American owners in the wake of their interest in joining the now doomed European Super League.
Arsenal and the rest of the Premier League’s Big Six will be fined a collective sum of around £22m for their role in the Super League fiasco – with any further attempts subject to a 30-point deduction.
The American owners are very unpopular with large sections of the Gunners fanbase
Ek took his interest public and outlined his vision for the future of the club, that included fan ownership, representation at board level and a golden share for supporters.
He even has the support of a host of Arsenal legends, including Patrick Vieira, Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry.
Kroenke, 73, who assumed full control in 2018, is very unpopular with large sections of the club’s support. His son, Josh, is a director at the club and a key figure in day-to-day-operations.
The Gunners finished eighth in the Premier League, leaving them without European football next season for the first time in 25 years.

Speaking on the ITV Football Podcast last month, Vieira said he believes the early rejection has not dissuaded Ek from trying to buy the club again and he will be in it for the long haul, insisting the club ‘is in a critical moment’.
‘He [Ek] is definitely going to try again,’ Vieira said.
‘He is going to be there for quite a long time. He’s a massive Arsenal fan. And talking to him a couple of times his desire and his commitment to Arsenal Football Club will be fantastic.
‘Obviously, if the club is not for sale there is nothing that he can do but he’s going to be there and he’s going to wait and he wants to buy the club.
‘I think it will be really important because Arsenal is in a critical moment. For me, it is the right time for him to do his maximum or to do what is possible to buy the club, to convince the country to buy the club.’
