Arteta ‘trash talked’ Smith Rowe during heated bowling alley clash

Unfortunately for Emile Smith Rowe, injuries have played a large part in his recent Arsenal history. However, that hasn't stopped him clashing heads with Mikel Arteta.

It's been revealed by many Arsenal stars that Arteta is very active in training, and although he is the man looking to deliver his team success, he remains very competitive himself. Arteta has really created at team bond at Arsenal, and has managed to remove the toxicity from the club.

A large part of their team spirit comes from extra-curricular bonding activities, and once again Arteta always makes sure he is involved. But Smith Rowe revealed that the boss even began 'trash talking' during a bowling activity as he did everything he could to win.

Smith Rowe loves the team activities at Arsenal, and it's been helpful for him to stay involved while spending large periods of time on the side-lines. And while Arsenal are in Orlando for pre-season, the squad will be going on a trip to Universal studios before playing Chelsea.

And Arsenal's no.10 is a huge thrill-seeker, and revealed how excited he is for the trip. "I can't wait," the 21-year-old said. "I grew up in Croydon, I've been to Chessington World of Adventures, Thorpe Park and Alton Towers. I love it."

But this isn't the first trip they've done during pre-season, as Arteta took them bowling when travelling to Germany to face Nurnberg. And according to Smith Rowe, things did get a little heated on the lanes.

"I really like bowling. We went in Germany and I won," Smith Rowe added. "Me and the gaffer were going head to head because we were on the lanes next to each other.

"I was surprised, to be fair, to see how competitive he was. 'It was funny." Smith Rowe is in good spirits ahead of the new season, but admitted that he has good people around him that keep him happy during the darker times.

"I have good people around me… they always keep me happy and I just like to spend time with them when I do go through these hard times. I'm quite strong in the head so I never really let the injuries get to me."
