Aston Villa vs Fulham live stream: How to watch Premier League fixture online and on TV today

Aston Villa host Fulham in the Premier League Sunday evening in a match that could be crucial in the relegation race.

Fulham are in 18th at the moment but a win over Villa could see them move out of the relegation zone and swap places with Newcastle. Scott Parker’s side have only won one league match in their last five outings, however, good news for Fulham is that 11th placed-Villa have also only managed to secure one victory across their own last five.

Heading into the final stretch of the season off of the back of the recent international break, the Cottagers need to start picking up points quickly if they want to avoid the drop. Parker is hoping striker Aleksandar Mitrovic can apply his return to scoring ways in the international break to his club football.

He said: “I can understand the frustration. But no one is more frustrated than Mitro. This is professional sport and sometimes there are little blips. I look at the journey he has been on from last year; he wasn’t fit to play in the play-off final at Wembley.

“He had a short turnaround in pre-season and it has been a bit bumpy, he has had Covid, had a big penalty miss for Serbia and these are the journeys players go on.

“Sometimes players just need air, they need oxygen to get in and just regroup a bit, take the pressure off them and if they have got the talent and the ethic about them they come back stronger and they come back to that point and hopefully that is where Mitro is.”

Team news

For Villa, Jack Grealish could return as he was training this week following an injury and there’s more good news for The Claret and Blue as Kortney Hause could also be back.

However, Wesley will not play due to a knee injury.

While for Fulham, Tom Cairney remains absent but Parker will hope to see the return of Bobby Decordova-Reid and Marek Rodak.

Predicted line-ups

Aston Villa: Martinez; Cash, Konsa, Mings, Targett; Luiz, McGinn; Traore, Barkley, Grealish; Watkins

Fulham: Areola; Aina, Andersen, Adarabioyo, Robinson; Reed, Anguissa; Reid, Loftus-Cheek, Lookman; Mitrovic

Aston Villa: 5/4

Draw: 23/10

Fulham: 23/10

Fulham are desperate for a win and this may get in the way of their performance. Villa have the slight upper hand with the return of Grealish but if Mitrovic can find his form Fulham will also be in with a chance. Both sides have had similar form of late and with players returning this fixture will be full of action. Aston Villa 2-1 Fulham.
