Barcelona are reportedly attentive to Paul Pogba’s situation at Manchester United as they look to reinforce their squad next summer. The France international has less than a year left on his Old Trafford contract. And, if he moved to the Nou Camp, it’ll be four years after they first tried to snap him up.
Barcelona are currently a club in crisis.
After losing Lionel Messi and Antoine Griezmann, the Catalan giants have endured a difficult start to the campaign under Ronald Koeman.
Barcelona know they need more reinforcements. And, as a result, Mundo Deportivo claim they’re attentive to Pogba’s situation at Manchester United.
The Frenchman’s current deal expires at the end of the season.
And that means the Red Devils face losing him for nothing, six years after paying a massive £89million for his signature.
United, for their part, don’t want that to happen.

They spent big on Pogba in 2016 because they felt he could be the ticket to Premier League and Champions League glory, beating Real Madrid to the player’s signature.
And though the 28-year-old has often struggled for consistency, the Red Devils feel they’re better with him than they are without.
Barcelona, however, are lurking.
And, if they’re successful in signing the midfielder, that’ll be four years after they first tried to land him using a swap.
Back in 2018, Pogba was on cloud nine.
He’d helped France win the World Cup in Russia, scoring in the stirring 4-2 final victory over Croatia.

But when he returned to United, he encountered a Jose Mourinho who was unwilling to let their previous feud die.
Mourinho and Pogba had fallen out in the previous months, with the latter also unhappy at being usurped by Alexis Sanchez in the wage table.
And, as a result, the former Juventus star wanted to leave.
Barcelona, knowing this, then pitched a swap deal in order to convince United into selling.
However, their offer of £45million plus Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes was rejected – with the Red Devils insulted by the approach.
Barcelona didn’t return to United with another bid and Mina and Gomes moved to Everton instead.
And whether they’re now successful in acquiring Pogba, as his time in England ticks down, remains to be seen.
Meanwhile, United have been linked with a host of midfielders amid uncertainty over Pogba’s future at the club.
And they were recently backed to move for Paris Saint-Germain’s Marco Verratti, especially after his fine performance in their Champions League victory over Manchester City.
Ashley Young endorsed a move for the Italy international, insisting he’d be the perfect fit for Solskjaer’s team.
“I think (United) are missing a trick in the centre of midfield. I think Paul [Pogba] needs to play there,” Young told BBC 5 Live.
“At the weekend he was playing out towards the left, I don’t think that’s Paul’s best position.
“I think he wants to control play and he wants to dictate. He’s a player who can find passes, the way Carrick used to do.”
Young continued: “The Michael Carrick type has been missing for years. They haven’t gone out and replaced Michael Carrick.
“Don’t get me wrong, Fred and McTominay are good players but I don’t think there’s a Michael Carrick around.
“I was watching the PSG v [Man] City game yesterday and I think Marco Verratti is the closest one and nobody’s gone out to test the water to try to sign him.
“I think he would be an unbelievable signing for Manchester United.”
