Chelsea star Armando Broja is willing to make the short trip across London to join West Ham this summer, according to Express Sport.
The Albanian impressed on loan at Southampton last season, and West Ham have already begun initial talks with Chelsea over a potential move for the youngster. The 20-year-old scored six times for the Saints last season, and West Ham are still yet to solve their striker conundrum.
Broja is desperate to continue playing first-team football after getting a taste of Premier League action for Southampton last season. And West Ham could be ready to launch an opening bid of £30million.
Inter Milan paying less than £7million to bring Romelu Lukaku back on loan
The Albanian is prepared to assess all offers that come in for him this summer, with West Ham seen as one of the front runners as Broja could stay local in London. However, there is also interest from Napoli, although that could depend on the future of Victor Osimhen.
But Chelsea may be apprehensive to sell to a rival, and the departure of Romelu Lukaku could even force Broja into Thomas Tuchel's plans next season. The German is expected to give last year's loanee a chance in pre-season, with Conor Gallagher, Billy Gilmour and Broja all returning.
And with Chelsea agreeing to send Lukaku on a season-long loan to Inter Milan, the no.9 position has become vacated once more. But Broja wants first-team football, and West Ham are ready to test the waters.
The Hammers have already splashed £30m on Morocco centre-back Nayef Aguerd this summer, but they are yet to find a natural centre-forward. David Moyes' side came so close to success last season, and now they're determined to build on their near-miss.
A bid in the region of £25m-£30m is expected to be lodged by West Ham in the near future, and Chelsea are looking to bolster their summer budget after a series of departures. And after transfer negotiator Marina Granovskaia confirmed she would leave the club, West Ham might find it easier to reach an agreement.
But Chelsea may be cautious to let more of their young talent leave, after Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori have gone on to flourish elsewhere. Broja made 32 Premier League appearances last season, and he won't want to settle for less.
