Real Madrid star Casemiro was reportedly aggrieved when the La Liga giants signed Aurelien Tchouameni earlier this summer. The Brazil international is poised to move to Manchester United in a mega £60million deal that will see him become the Red Devils’ fifth most-expensive signing of all time. However, it’s still unlikely he’ll make his debut against Liverpool on Monday night.
Manchester United had, until recently, been prioritising a deal for Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong – who previously played under manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax.
Yet a deal for the Netherlands international is now off amid an expectancy the 25-year-old will either stay at the Nou Camp or end up moving to Chelsea instead.
While United also probed a potential transfer involving Adrien Rabiot, they’re now primed to land Casemiro instead – with the Samba star poised to move to Old Trafford in a massive £60m arrangement.
Now, according to the Manchester Evening News, the 30-year-old’s anger with the La Liga giants has emerged.
It’s claimed Casemiro felt ‘particularly aggrieved’ at Los Blancos’ decision to spend a sizeable £83m on Tchouameni earlier in the summer.

The 22-year-old had been linked with many of Europe’s elite prior to his move to the Bernabeu, including Liverpool, Chelsea and United themselves.
And with the France international a competitor in Casemiro’s position, and an expensive one at that, it appears that rankled with the Brazil international.
The publication says personal terms with the 30-year-old have been agreed, with the five-time Champions League winner poised to pen a four-year contract with the option of a fifth.
Casemiro is set to become United’s third signing from Real Madrid since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013.
The club forked out £59m in order to acquire Angel Di Maria from the La Liga titans in 2014, shortly after the arrival of Louis van Gaal as manager.

Yet while Di Maria started majestically, his form waned following a break-in at his home.
And the Argentina international fell behind Ashley Young in Van Gaal’s pecking order before jumping ship to PSG in the summer transfer window of 2015, having spent just a year in England.
United also raided the Champions League winners for Raphael Varane 12 months ago, when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ruled the roost.
The 29-year-old was signed for a fee of £43m, believing he’d achieved everything possible during his decade in Spain.
But, world-class though Varane is, injuries have prevented him from fulfilling his true potential at Old Trafford so far.

Casemiro seems to be a direct replacement for Nemanja Matic, who left to join Roma on a free transfer earlier in the window.
And his arrival also compensates for the departure of Paul Pogba, with the 2018 World Cup winner following Matic to Italy with Juventus.
Meanwhile, former England left-back Micky Gray has slammed United for their erratic transfer business so far and insisted they’ve left themselves with far too much to do so late in the summer.
“It’s an absolute disgrace, they knew they had to recruit in the summer and they’ve left it with 15 days to go in the transfer window,” he said.
“They’ve brought in three players [Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen] in this transfer window and they have not improved Manchester United.

“If anything they’ve gone backwards when they’re supposed to be going forwards.
“Players who are walking through the door at Man United in the last 15 days of this transfer window are going to want top dollar. They know what situation they’re going to find themselves in.
“It’s panic stations. A club like Manchester United getting it completely wrong, it’s an absolute disgrace.
“They don’t know what’s going to happen with Cristiano Ronaldo either. Is he going to stay or is he going to go?
“They need to buck their ideas up and get something sorted out because those supporters are absolutely seething.”
