Chelsea fan’s hilarious surprise when he ordered ‘Sterling pre-order’ on shirt

A Chelsea fan has been left shocked after realising his newly-bought home jersey had ‘Sterling – Pre Order’ etched across the back.

The Blues fan, named Mason, had been keen to celebrate the arrival of the England forward by getting his hands on a new replica shirt. But he suffered heartbreak when it arrived.

Posting a picture of the shirt on Twitter, Mason wrote: “I bought the new kit just after we signed sterling, there were all the squad numbers and names and the Sterling options said ‘STERLING – PRE ORDER’ which I did, and they’ve gone and f***ing given me this.”

The incredible tweet has since gone on to receive a fair bit of attention on the social media site, receiving nearly 40,000 likes and almost 3,000 retweets.

Other astonished Chelsea fans replied voicing their shock. One wrote: “this can’t be real,” while another mocked: “Is that not what you wanted?”

A third added: “Sorry shouldn’t laugh but this is typical Chelsea.”

However, all was eventually sorted as Mason later tweeted: “This blew, it’s all sorted now I’m being sent another one.”

Sterling will be eager to make an impression on Saturday in his first official Chelsea match since his £47.5million move from Manchester City. The 27-year-old will make his Premier League debut for the Blues away at Goodison Park against Everton.

Thomas Tuchel will hope his star signing can hit the ground running, having reached double digits for Premier League goals in each of his previous five seasons.
