Chelsea are signing Chicago Fire goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina for a fee of £8million plus add-ons.
The 18-year-old will return to Chicago on loan, as Chelsea plan to head into next campaign with Edouard Mendy, Kepa Arrizabalaga and Marcus Bettinelli between the sticks.
Since his debut, Slonina has kept 11 clean sheets in 30 MLS appearances.

The youngster is set to become Chelsea’s first signing of the Todd Boehly-led era, although the Blues are closing in on a £50m deal for Manchester City ace Raheem Sterling.
The winger jetted out to Los Angeles to link up with his soon-to-be new Chelsea team-mates on Tuesday, having already undergone a medical at the club.
The Blues are also holding advanced talks with Napoli in a bid to sign Kalidou Koulibaly in a deal worth £34m.
Chelsea are eager to reinforce their defence at centre-back following the exits of Antonio Rudiger to Real Madrid and Andreas Christensen to Barcelona on free transfers.
