The winger contracted the illness almost the same time as Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta, who is also quarantined in his house, and that led to all football activity being suspended in the UK until April 3.

All top-flight clubs are scheduled to meet on Thursday to try and devise a more detailed contingency plan in case the season does not restart next month.

Hudson-Odoi hasn’t let the Premier League ban get in his way as he is working hard at home to regain full fitness and make a dynamic comeback when the season restarts.

The England international shared a video showing him undergoing an intense workout on an exercise bike signalling that he is on the right track to a full recovery.

Chelsea posted the short clip on their official Twitter account and captioned it with: “[email protected] looking (strong emoji).”

Fans are ecstatic with Hudson-Odoi’s fightback and are surprised with how little time it took him to get back in training.

One supporter tweeted: “Can your player defeat coronavirus in a day and be doing this a few days later? No i don’t think so.”

Another posted: “It’s beautiful.”
