Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the richest athletes on the planet, and there isn't much that the 37-year-old can't buy.
However, Manchester United is currently one of them as according to the Daily Mail, the Glazer family are considering selling the club for £3.75billion. Ronaldo may be rich, but he doesn't have that kind of cash in the bank just yet.
Ronaldo has a stunning net worth of £475m, but after his small salary decrease at United he is raking in £26.25m for every season he's at the club. Therefore, he could very well afford to buy United one day, but it would still take 125 years based on the current valuation.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner returned to United last summer in a shock deal that saw him leave Juventus a year before his contract expired. Ronaldo was always linked with a move back to United, but many feared that the fairytale move would never happen.
However, it did, and Ronaldo spoke about his love for the club and why he was so excited to return. But it's not gone too well for the Portuguese star, as although he enjoyed a prolific season, it was one to forget for United.
The Glazer's may have taken over United during Ronaldo's first stint, but the team that he returned to in 2021 was far different to the one he left in 2009. The former Premier League title contenders are now struggling to make the top four, and silverware is a thing of the past too.

Ronaldo was heavily linked with a move away from United this summer, but stayed put despite the fact he wanted to play Champions League football. There have been increasing calls for the Glazer family to sell due to United's fall from grace, as fans want owners that truly care about the club.
The 37-year certainly fits that category, but even with his vast riches, multiple businesses and brand image, it would still take more than a lifetime for Ronaldo to buy United. Also, that's on his current wage, and even Ronaldo won't be able to continue at this level for very long.
Ronaldo is still stunning fans for his incredible athleticism aged 37, and he's proved everyone wrong that doubted him at this stage in his career. But even he is human, and soon he will only be focusing on matters off the field.
