Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been offered to Manchester City this summer as he looks for a move away from Italian giants Juventus.

The Portugal striker has just 11 months remaining on his contract with the Old Lady and according to reports in Italy has been offered to City as an alternative to Harry Kane.

City are in the market for a new striker this summer with their priority remaining Tottenham Hotspur's Kane but the club are prepared to walkaway from the deal if Spurs do not lower their asking price.

This could see them make a sensational move for Ronaldo, who could cost just £25million during the current transfer window.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Ronaldo's agent, Jorge Mendes, has offered the 36-year-old to Manchester City as Ronaldo assesses his future.

His current Juve deal expires at the end of this season and it currently appears unlikely that he will remain in Italy beyond the summer of 2022.

With the five-time Ballon d'Or winner now into the final year of his contract, it is understood he would cost just £25million this summer, some £80million less than Juventus paid to sign him from Real Madrid in 2018.

This is made more staggering when it is considered that despite his age, Ronaldo finished as the top scorer at this summer's Euros as well as in last season's Serie A.

Would Cristiano Ronaldo be a good signing for Manchester City in the current transfer window? Let us know in the comments section below.

Ronaldo has scored 113 goals in 133 games for Juve and has also been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain in recent days as a replacement for Kylian Mbappe if the Frenchman leaves.

He has also been linked with returns to both Real Madrid and Manchester United in the past, having scored 118 times in six seasons with the Red Devils.

A controversial move to United's Manchester neighbours could now be on the cards though, but City would have to overcome the forward's wages despite the low transfer fee.

Ronaldo currently earns £25.5million a year with Juve, which equates to just under £500,000-per-week, almost £100,000 higher than current highest earner Kevin de Bruyne.

Despite being offered to City, Pep Guardiola's priority for a new striker remains England captain Kane, who did not feature in Spurs' 1-0 victory over City on Sunday.

Kane could return in Europe this week, however, having been included in the club's 25-man squad for their UEFA Conference League play-off tie with Pacos de Ferreira.

Ferran Torres started the season opener up front for the champions, before Gabriel Jesus played the final 20 minutes as the lone striker.

City are expected to are an improved bid for Kane soon, having seen a £100million offer rebuffed earlier in the summer, but are believed to be ready to walkaway if Spurs' £150million asking prices is not lowered.

This could then open the door for Ronaldo's return to the Premier League after 12 years, although this time on the blue side of Manchester.
