Patrice Evra has reminded Manchester United icon Cristiano Ronaldo of his hilarious reaction when a team-mate trained 'too hard'.
Evra took to Instagram to post a video clip of a famous moment capturing Ronaldo's apparent shock when one of United's players appeared to get excited in training.
Alongside the video, Evra teased his former team-mate with this caption: "When we used to win too many trophies some players were train too hard @cristiano next time we talk please don’t get distracted obrigado."
The famous clip was never explained by anybody involved, but Ronaldo's bewildered reaction has become a hugely popular meme.
Evra and Ronaldo played together at United from 2006 to 2009, winning the Champions League and three Premier League titles.
Ronaldo left for Real Madrid in 2009 in a deal worth £80million – which at the time was a world record transfer fee.
He of course went on to huge success, claiming another four Champions League titles and tallying five Ballon d'Or prizes before joining Juventus in a £105m switch in 2018.
Ronaldo's time in Spain also ignited his rivalry with Lionel Messi, who has won one more Ballon d'Or award but one less Champions League crown.
And Evra is in doubt about who is the greatest of the greats.
Liverpool and Man Utd target Dayot Upamecano tipped to make alternative transfer
"He was the one that if we had training at 10, he would be there at 8," the Frenchman of his former team-mate on Sky Sports last season.
"He was the last to leave the training ground, practicing his skill.
"That's why, when we compare him to Messi, I always choose Cristiano and people say it's just because he's my friend.
"I just think Messi, it's just a gift, it's talent. God said, 'Go on, go and play with those kids.'
"But Cristiano worked so hard. He's a machine.
"He doesn't want to lose anything. He even wants to be the most beautiful guy, he wants to be the one that is dressing the best."
