Diego Maradona’s brother Hugo has died at the age of 52 after suffering a heart attack. The Argentine passed away in Naples at 11.50am on Tuesday. And it comes just 13 months after Diego tragically passed away due to a cardiac arrest.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Hugo was found dead at his home after he suffered a cardiac arrest.

While not as famous as his brother, he still took to the field with Ascoli in Italy and Spanish club Rayo Vallecano during his playing career.

Hugo was in Malta last week overseeing a youth football training camp and his death comes three years after underwent surgery for a heart condition.

Diego’s brother had previously indicated that he was going to stand for elected office in Naples, the city that revered his brother.

However, just after Christmas, it’s now been announced that he’s passed away at the age of 52.
