The FA Cup fourth round will start to shape up this weekend, as Premier League and Championship sides enter into the competition for the first time this season. Here’s everything you need to know about the draw itself.

Manchester City will be kicking off the weekend with an away trip to Swindon Town on Friday night.

Holders Leicester City will be taking on Watford in an all-Premier League tie on Saturday afternoon (3pm).

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard will be taking his Aston Villa team to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.

Shrewsbury will also be making a dream trip to Anfield to take on Liverpool this weekend.

For the second successive season, the third and fourth rounds of the FA Cup will go to extra-time if both teams are drawing after 90 minutes.

It’s FA Cup tradition for drawn matches to go to a replay. But in light of fixture congestion this season, the FA decided to scrap replays.

If a tie finishes level after 90 minutes, the match will continue until one team is officially eliminated from the competition. Extra time and penalties will follow the 90 minutes, if they’re required.

FA Cup replays will be brought back next season, the FA confirmed, in a return to normal tradition.
