According to AS, Pellistri is against going out on loan again – having previously completed a spell Alaves.

Pellistri will look to showcase his skills at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar after being named in Uruguay’s initial 35-man squad.

Pellistri’s agent believes the 20-year-old will pick up several suitors following the showpiece tournament later this month.

Edgardo Lasalvia told ESPN: ‘I think that with a good World Cup, as we think it will have, his departure is imminent’.

However, Pellistri struggled for form while on loan with Alaves. He failed to score or register an assist during his spell with the Spanish side.

He did mange to find the back of the net three times for United’s U21 side but he is yet to prove himself at senior level despite joining the club two years ago.
