Fans think UFC star Hasbulla has confirmed allegiance in Ronaldo vs Messi debate

UFC star and social media sensation Hasbulla Magomedov has appeared to reveal who he backs out of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Few debates get football fans going like the discussion over who is the GOAT, or greatest of all time, between Manchester United rebel Ronaldo and PSG forward Messi.

Both are heading into what could be their last World Cup with Portugal and Argentina respectively, with neither having won the elusive trophy in their legendary careers so far. If either were to finally capture it at their fifth attempt, it could end the argument once and for all.

But it seems Hasbulla has already made up his mind. Ahead of the tournament kicking off in Qatar this weekend, he tweeted a picture of him wearing an Argentina kit with Messi's name and number on earlier this month.

The Russian captioned the post: "Let's gooooo #Argentina." Fans took that as confirmation of his allegiance, with one replying: "Hasbulla knows who’s the GOAT and winning the [World Cup]."

Another commented: "One GOAT supporting another! Love to see it." A third wrote: "Hasbulla knows his GOAT."

However, Hasbulla, who signed a contract with Dana White's promotion earlier this year, was in actually in Argentina for a show, so he may have just been pandering to the home crowd with his choice of clothing.

Some fans feel the GOAT debate has been settled before a ball has been kicked in the World Cup after Ronaldo went behind United's back and accused the club of "betraying" him in a 90-minute interview with Piers Morgan.

Ronaldo addressed his long-time rival at one point, and said he'd be open to playing alongside him before their careers end. MLS club Inter Miami have been linked with both megastars, so there's a slim possibility it could happen.
