The football season is coming to a sad end due to the outbreak of the coronavirus, Gary Lineker has predicted.
Manchester City vs Arsenal became the first Premier League match to be postponed over fears surrounding the virus.
The rearranged game at the Etihad, which was due to take place tonight, has been delayed once again, this time as a precaution following Olympiakos chief Evangelos Marinakis being diagnosed with coronavirus.
Arsenal played against the Greek side in the Europa League in north London 13 days ago.
And the continued spread of the virus means more sporting events in the UK are almost inevitably going to be affected.

Liverpool host Atletico Madrid in the Champions League this evening (8pm), and the game at Anfield is still on.
The sell out sees the Spanish side visit Merseyside, while La Liga rivals Valencia played against Atlanta behind closed doors last night.
Fans are still set to attend the match this evening, which is being broadcast on BT Sport, and Lineker is traveling this morning to Merseyside.
However, the footballing icon and presenter is pessimistic for what lies ahead for the rest of the campaign.

Delays with more cancellations could see the season eventually called off if leagues across Europe run out of time to schedule matches.
Euro 2020 is already in the balance for the summer, and it remains to be seen what the future holds for the Premier League.
Lineker this morning posted his outlook on the situation on Twitter and said: “Manchester City v Arsenal is postponed. Off to Liverpool but can’t help feeling like it’s the beginning of the end of the football season.
“Despite the words of the late Bill Shankly, football is not more serious than life and death.”
