Gianluca Scamacca arrives in London to complete his West Ham medical TODAY after agreeing a £30.5m move from Serie A side Sassuolo, as the Hammers also continue to target Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic

Gianluca Scamacca flew in to London last night ahead of completing his medical at West Ham today. 

The Italy striker will join for £30.5m with a further £5m in add-ons and has been offered a five-year deal with the option of an extra year. 

Talks are also ongoing with Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic who shares the same agent as Scamacca.

The 23-year-old netted 16 goals in 36 appearances for Sassuolo in Serie A last season and his form has been rewarded with seven caps for Italy since his debut in September.

The Italy international was at PSV as a youngster before signing for Sassuolo in 2017. He had four loan spells away from the club but was hugely impressive last season.

West Ham expressed an interest in signing Armando Broja, but a deal for the Chelsea striker has yet to materialise. 

The Hammers most high profile signing so far this summer has been the arrival of defender Nayef Aguerd from Rennes.

The 26-year-old Moroccan international defender joined for £28million, but had ankle surgery after sustaining an injury in their pre-season friendly against Rangers last week, providing a huge blow to the Hammers.

Meanwhile, Flynn Downes has joined from Swansea and Alphonse Areola has made his move from Paris Saint-Germain permanent. 

Boss Moyes is, however, not finished in the transfer market and is also now eyeing a deal for Kostic to help bolster his squad with a lack of senior options throughout the current squad.

The versatile Croatian international helped Frankfurt win the Europa League last season, beating West Ham at the semi-final stage of the competition.

The 29-year-old notched seven goals and 15 assists across 42 games in all competitions for the Bundesliga side last season.
