A group of Iran supporters have mercilessly trolled Harry Maguire ahead of their World Cup opener against England.
Fans were spotted carrying signs ripping on the Manchester United defender, who was picked to start alongside John Stones at the back for the Three Lions, outside the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha.
One sign read, 'It's not coming home because of Harry Maguire', while another read, 'Harry Maguire your defence is terrifying'.

England fans on social media branded the stunt "embarrassing", with one user tweeting: "I can't wait for Maguire to make Team of the Tournament."
Another labelled one of the signs the "worst banner ever". A third wrote: "Imagine spending money on getting these printed. How sad," while a fourth commented: "Scenes if Maguire powers in a header inside the first five minutes."
Some however saw the funny side, with one amused user writing: "That is top bantz haha," while another said: "Harsh …. but fair".

Maguire has spent the past couple of seasons being the butt of almost every football-related joke but has been given a vote of confidence by Southgate, who picked him ahead of the likes of Ben White, Eric Dier and Conor Coady.
His United future might be hanging in the balance after being unseated by summer signing Lisandro Martinez, but he's still the main man in Southgate's eyes, and given that tournament football is when he tends to come alive, it's little surprise.
