James Milner looked positively gobsmacked by Sadio Mane’s assist for Liverpool against Manchester United.
During the contest at Anfield, the attacker laid off a spellbinding pass for Mohamed Salah for Liverpool’s second. The former Southampton ace made a superb chipped ballto put the Eygptian through inside the box and poke past David de Gea.
And subsequent replays should just how stunned Milner was by the pass and the play that had gone on before it. Starting with Alisson Becker and playing from the back, Liverpool used intricate one-two passing to build the play up the pitch.
Centre-back Joel Matip made a decent pass to Mane and Senegal's Africa Cup Of Nations star somehow found Salah while stretched at an almost 180-degree angle. The camera then panned to the Reds’ bench where the veteran player could be seen with his hand over his mouth in astonishment.
Fans reacted to the former Manchester City and Newcastle player’s gesticulations.
One wrote: “James Milner was all of us when that second goal went in.”
Another said: “I couldn't believe what I was witnessing TBH.”
A third wrote: “Loved Jimmy Milner’s reaction to that absolutely stunning second goal.”
The last one gushed: “This is what I meant about Milner's reaction.”

The side’s first goal was superb as well. Mane ripped another breathtaking pass through the United defence and Salah got on the end of it, laying it off top Luis Diaz to put the home side 1-0 up inside five minutes.
United failed to register a shot in the first half while Liverpool only allowed them 24% of possession. Ahead of the match, Reds boss Jurgen Klopp spoke of the danger they could threaten.
“If I go through the line-up that could play, the goalkeeper (David De Gea) is world-class. The last line (defence) absolute top, then (in midfield) I'm not sure if McTominay and Fred can play. It might be Pogba and Matic! If you let Pogba, he plays through you and behind you.
“Then up front you can choose from Sancho, Fernandes, Elanga or Rashford… and a guy who scored his 60th hat-trick. I'm not sure if Cavani will be ready – but that is the team we face. That's what we have to prepare for; not what happened last week or something like that.”
