Liverpool are plotting an exciting triple swoop in the January transfer window to boost their Premier League title hunt. Jurgen Klopp faces a significant challenge without Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the new year amid potentially one of the hardest-fought title races in recent memory.

Klopp’s men have started the season in admirable form and are currently four points off Premier League leaders Chelsea.

The Reds have also already qualified from their Champions League group with two games to spare, with Salah in the form of his career.

But after going two league games without a win, early-season worries are settling in among part of the fanbase.

And Klopp hasn’t even experienced the climax of his problems, with Salah and Mane jetting off overseas at the end of December.

With the African Cup of Nations taking place across January and February, Liverpool’s star attackers could be absent for up to eight games.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Manchester City won’t be hit as badly during a crucial period in the season.

So Klopp looks set to address the situation by targeting fresh talent for his dynamic forward line.

According to reports in Italy, via The Sun, Liverpool are lining up a January move for Villarreal winger Arnaut Danjuma.

After leaving Championship outfit AFC Bournemouth, the 24-year-old is enjoying an impressive debut season in Spain and could be viewed as a long-term replacement for Salah or Mane.

Klopp is also eyeing midfield reinforcements in the form of Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozovic, 28, who will be available for talks over a pre-contract agreement in January.

Another on the radar is Torino centre-back Gleison Bremer, 24, despite Klopp’s strong selection of players in the position when they’re all fully fit.

Speaking on his Twitch stream, Fabrizio Romano confirmed Liverpool’s interest in Danjuma as they look set to prioritise new forwards in January.

He said: “For January, they have a problem that Mo Salah and Sadio Mane will go to the Africa Cup of Nations.

“This is why they are looking for wingers. I’m told wingers more than midfielders, but let’s see if they are able to find the right player.

“Liverpool are always working like this, no panic buy but if they have a good opportunity, yes.

“I’m told that Danjuma, of Villarreal, the former Bournemouth player is doing fantastically. They love this player in Liverpool.”
