Liverpool fans convinced Salah has a ‘final curse’ after injury against Chelsea

Liverpool fans are convinced that Mohamed Salah has a 'final curse' after he was injured during the FA Cup final.

Salah was forced out of Liverpool's clash with Chelsea after he sat down in the centre circle after just 32 minutes. The Egyptian pointed to his groin as Jurgen Klopp replaced his starman with Diogo Jota.

It's the second time Salah has failed to make it past half-time of a major final after he infamously jostled with Sergio Ramos during the 2017/18 Champions League final. And some Liverpool fans are convinced that he has a 'curse' when playing in cup finals.

One fan tweeted: "This has to be a curse on Salah in finals surely, imagine if he's out of Paris!"

"This has nothing to be with luck, but to the excessive amount of games played in one season," another suggested as to why he was injured. "Salah ducking another final after all that talk loool," a third tweeted.

A fourth added: "Imagine Salah misses the UCL Final after all the interviews he’s been doing lately."

Salah is now a doubt for the Champions League final in Paris, in two weeks time, where he claimed Liverpool have a score to settle.

"If you ask everybody [at Liverpool], everyone wanted that game," Salah toldSky Sports.

"I don't know why we're not allowed to talk about it but I'm ok to talk about it – I wanted that game! I wanted to play Real Madrid before that game [against Manchester City].

"Of course, I'm not giving too much credit to them. They're an unbelievable team with a great coach, great players. When they asked me who I wanted, I said Madrid. It's an easy answer."
