Liverpool and Manchester City met on Sunday evening in what is always a brilliant game for neutrals, and it didn’t disappoint again as the clubs played out a 2-2 draw.
With the clubs both set to battle it out for the title, along with Chelsea and Manchester United, the match was very much a six-pointer and fans of both teams created an atmosphere to suit.
Liverpool opened the scoring against the run of play in the 59th minute when he latched on to a pass from Mohamed Salah and slotted it past the onrushing Ederson.
But their lead was not long-lived as Phil Foden deservedly got his goal just ten minutes later when he smashed a fierce strike into the corner following some great work by Gabriel Jesus.
Jurgen Klopp’s men then took the lead again in the 76th minute through a world-class goal by Salah, who weaved past three City defenders before deftly lifting the ball over Ederson and in off the post.
City soon bounced back in the 81st minute when Foden played a neat cutback to the edge of the box to Kevin de Bruyne who swept it home to ensure the points were shared.
Amongst all of the action, Liverpool and City fans exchanged words on just how much better they are than the other club – you know, the usual – but one set of chants went down a storm.

The Cityzen faithful sung: “You've seen the champions, now f*** off home.”
The Kop then replied: “Where’s your European cup?”, poking fun at how Pep Guardiola’s side have not been able to get their hands on the Champions League in years gone by.
The songs all appeared to be some competitive banter between the sets of supporters, but it has since been revealed that one Liverpool fan crossed the line and spat at one of the City backroom staff in the game.

According to MEN, the llama-like supporter was caught on camera in the act when the game was tied at 1-1.
Pep Guardiola had his say on the matter: “I didn't see it. I heard about it, the people told me and if this happened I'm pretty sure Liverpool is going to take a measure about this person.
"Liverpool is greater than this behaviour, at every club there are people that make bad actions because of emotion – you have to control yourself."
