Liverpool fans react to Gary Lineker’s "Klopp out" tweet after Chelsea defeat

Gary Lineker's "Jurgen Klopp out" joke didn't go down too well among Liverpool fans following defeat by Chelsea.

The Match of the Day host took to Twitter shortly after Tuesday's FA Cup fixture, which Chelsea won 2-0 at Stamford Bridge. Lineker's tongue-in-cheek comment read: "Three defeats in four games for Liverpool. Klopp out?"

And it's safe to say it sparked something of a minor backlash, with Liverpool supporters reacting angrily to the remark. One tweeted: "Lineker, you're not funny in the slightest," while another added: "Deluded."

Liverpool's first defeat of the three referred to by Lineker came against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

The Reds responded by narrowly beating West Ham in the Premier League before suffering their first domestic defeat of the season.

Watford thumped the Reds 3-0 at Vicarage Road, with Ismaila Sarr (2) and Troy Deeney on the scoresheet for the Hornets.

Liverpool's third and final defeat came against Chelsea, as they were knocked out of the FA Cup in the fifth round on Tuesday night.
