Liverpool looking to sign £25m Arsenal flop as Neuhaus’ ‘heart set on move’

Liverpool are set for a major summer transfer window at the end of the season and it could be their most important yet.

There are several murmurs over players leaving with Georginio Wijnaldum out of contract at the end of the campaign.

With the Reds struggling to make it into the top four of the Premier League, it has been a miserable year for the champions.

But Jurgen Klopp has plans on bringing in a handful of players that could be the biggest squad shake-up since his arrival.

The attack is set to to be refreshed with one £25m target catching their attention while Florian Neuhaus has been strongly linked with a move to Anfield.

Here are the latest Liverpool rumours and gossip.

Arsenal flop eyed

Liverpool have their sights set on PSV Eindhoven star Donyell Malen, who would cost £25m this summer.

The Netherlands international was let go by Arsenal at the age of 18 despite impressing for the youth teams.

PSV picked him up and he has been sensational ever since, scoring 23 times this season at the age of 22.

It has caught the eye of Liverpool, who have been wowed by his versatility across the frontline – playing on either wing as well as up front.

According to a report from Voetbal International, the Reds are leading the race for the ex-Arsenal ace ahead of the likes of Barcelona and Juventus.

Neuhaus' heart 'set on move'

Liverpool have made Borussia Monchengladbach star Neuhaus their top target to replace Wijnaldum, who looks set to leave when his contract expires at the end of the season.

The German midfielder has impressed scouts this season and Klopp believes he is the man to fill the void.

And BILD reporter Christian Falk has stated that the 24-year-old is keen on moving to Anfield.

Neuhaus has seven goals and eight assists this season and has attracted attention from Bayern Munich while he has a €40m release clause.

But the former 1860 Munich star has his sights set on one destination, with Falk stating on the Bayern Insider Podcast that his 'heart is set on Liverpool'.

Wilson wants out

Liverpool star Harry Wilson has admitted his time at the Reds could be coming to an end this summer after a number of loans away.

The Wales international came up through the ranks at Melwood but has been unable to break into the first-team.

Yet he has impressed when sent out on loan, at the likes of Derby, Bournemouth and now Cardiff – and the winger has revealed he has made up his mind over a transfer.

When asked if his future lies away from Liverpool, Wilson said: “Yeah, maybe.

"I feel my senior career has been elsewhere so far.

"150-200 appearances deep now and only a couple have been at Liverpool.

"The club will always be close to my heart, but if it means moving away to further my career then so be it."
