Liverpool make Barella contact, Celtic’s Edouard linked plus Sanches interest

Liverpool are being linked with three major stars as Jurgen Klopp’s side prepare to return to pre-season training.

The Reds have been quiet in the transfer window thus far, with the signing of Ibrahima Konate their only bit of business.

Konate’s arrival is an important one, but Klopp will still be keen to bolster his ranks further ahead of the new season.

That could mean business being completed after the conclusion of Euro 2020, where some of Liverpool’s reported targets are in action.

Daily Star Sport have news of three players could be set for Anfield moves, including two Euros stars and a Celtic hotshot.

Barella ‘contact’

Liverpool have stepped up their pursuit of Inter Milan and Italy star Nicolo Barella, according to reports.

CalcioMercato have stated that the Reds have made contact with Inter, although the Serie A side are reluctant to sell.

Barella is an important player for the Italian champions, but he could be sold to ease their financial situation.

Edouard linked

Who do you think Liverpool should sign in the summer transfer window? Let us know in the comments section.

Liverpool missed out on signing Patson Daka after the Zambian striker opted to join Leicester instead.

Klopp still wants to add another striker to his ranks, and the German boss could now turn his attention to Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard.

Edouard has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, and the Liverpool Echo reports that the Reds are interested.

They claim that the Frenchman is a ‘serious candidate’ to make the move to Merseyside this summer.

Sanches interest

Renato Sanches didn’t exactly set the world alight during his ill-fated loan spell with Swansea City during the 2017-18 season, but the 23-year-old has been impressing for Lille and Portugal pretty much ever since.

Now according to French news outlet Onze Mondial, Liverpool as well as Arsenal are credited with having ‘particular’ interest in the star.

The report claims both clubs are admirers of Sanches, who has two years remaining on his current deal.
