Liverpool have launched their new third kit for the 2022-23 season, two days before their first Champions League game of the campaign. 

The striking shirt, made by Nike, is largely teal with bright red trim and will cost supporters nearly £70, with shorts costing almost £35 and socks almost £15.

It is being released with a 97-star banner by flag-making fan Mark Sweatman, each star corresponding to the club’s away victories or trophy wins in Europe and each of their respective locations.

The minute-long launch video, released on social media, was filmed at the Olympia, an iconic post-European match venue.

Local band The Cheap Thrills supply the soundtrack to the video.
