Liverpool have reportedly been ‘seduced’ by Fiorentina forward Dusan Vlahovic as speculation continues to swirl around Mohamed Salah’s future. Salah last week reaffirmed his desire to play in La Liga before the end of the season, and has been frequently linked with Tuesday night’s Champions League opponents Real Madrid, as well as Barcelona.
Salah is likely to start against Zinedine Zidane’s team in Tuesday’s quarter-final first-leg clash at the Bernabeu, having led Liverpool’s attacking charge with 26 goals in all competitions this season.
The 28-year-old will enter the final two years of his contract with the Premier League side this summer – and his future is by no means certain, after he told Marca that he remains open to a move at some point.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has already started the evolution of his front line after signing Diogo Jota, whose double against Arsenal on Saturday took his tally to three in his last two games following his recent return from injury.
And Liverpool are looking at more attacking options, with reports from Italy claiming they are chasing La Viola striker Vlahovic, who is among the top scorers in Serie A this season.

The Reds and Madrid are among the clubs who have been ‘seduced’ by the 21-year-old’s performances, according to Corriere Dello Sport, while Tuttosport claims both clubs are in the race for the Serbia international along with Manchester United.
Both reports, cited by Sport Witness, claim Fiorentina are desperate to the £25million-rated striker down to a new contract after he fired 13 league goals this season – placing him ninth in the Italian top flight’s scoring charts despite his side’s lowly position of 14th.
Vlahovic is contracted to La Viola until 2023, and the club could face a battle to keep hold of him this summer.
He plays as a centre-forward, meaning he would not be a direct replacement for Salah, who of course can play up front but has established himself as one of the best wingers in the world.
However, news of Liverpool’s supposed interest in Vlahovic could be an indication that the Reds’ recruitment department are looking at options in case Salah decided he wants to test himself elsewhere.
Prior to his comments to Marca, Salah admitted in an interview with AS that he sees Madrid and Barcelona as ‘top clubs’ and suggested that he would like to play for one of them before calling time on his professional career.
Los Blancos boss Zidane was asked about speculation concerining the Egypt forward ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League quarter-final clash.
But the Frenchman remained tight-lipped on the sibject, saying: “Since he’s not our player, I’m not going to get into that.”
