Liverpool secured the top four on the final day of the season after a difficult campaign plagued by injury troubles to various key players.
It was a busy season as they aimed to defend their Premier League crown, but a mid-season slump meant that securing Champions League football would have to be the aim, and they did that by piping Leicester to a place.
Now, they want to rebuild, and after seeing a key player in the form of Georginio Wijnaldum leave, they’re keen to add a midfielder.
They’ve already signed Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig and will want to strengthen in other positions as well.
Daily Star Sport has taken a look at Liverpool’s latest transfer news below.
Grujic will leave
Liverpool have told midfielder Marko Grujic that he is to leave this summer as he does not feature in Jurgen Klopp’s long-term plans, according to A Bola.
The Serbian is with Liverpool at their pre-season base in Austria but is unlikely to have any influence during their league season.
Grujic spent time on loan at Porto last season but is set to make a permanent move elsewhere this season, with Italian side Sassuolo interested in the player.
Fiorentina to fend off Vlahovic interest
Italian side Fiorentina are set to fight off any interest in their Serbian forward Dusan Vlahovic and give him a new contract to keep him at the club.
According to Tuttosport, Liverpool and Tottenham had an interest in the player, but will have to pay £52m to buy him from Fiorentina.
Vlahovic is contracted to the club until 2023 but the Italian side want to keep him for longer, having seem him score 21 league goals last season.

Interest in Ismaila Sarr
According to 90min.com, Liverpool are set to rekindle their interest in Watford winger Ismaila Sarr, who they were keen on in 2020.
The Reds moved for Diogo Jota from Wolves instead, but Jurgen Klopp is a fan of the Senegalese winger and may reignite that interest.
The report claims that Sarr wants the transfer too and Liverpool are prepared to fork out around £40m to bring the player to Anfield.
