Liverpool have had a quiet summer of transfers in comparison to the extravagant fees paid by some of their rivals.
The only arrival of note at Anfield since the start of the window has been 22-year-old central defender Ibrahima Konate from RB Leipzig for £36million.
With the only big departure being Georginio Wijnaldum on a free transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, Jurgen Klopp can be judged to be consolidating rather than rebuilding.
Injury-struck personnel from last season like Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Virgil van Dijk are back in action, meaning the Reds should still be well equipped to mount a title challenge despite their lack of activity.
Still, Liverpool are being linked with several players around Europe and Daily Star Sport brings you the latest transfer gossip.
Aouar piques Reds' interest
Liverpool could once again be tempted into pursuing Houssem Aouar from Lyon, according to reports.
RMC Sport claim Lyon coach Peter Bosz is executing a squad clear-out which has seen midfielder Aouar placed on the transfer market for a ‘lower price’ than last summer.
The 23-year-old is believed to be available for a fee of around £25million with his form having dipped over the past year and Liverpool could be interested in signing the midfielder following Georginio Wijnaldum’s exit earlier this summer.

Doku loves Liverpool
Belgium wonderkid Jeremy Doku has been linked with a switch to Anfield with the winger reportedly being a huge fan.
Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri claims the 19-year-old ‘loves’ Liverpool and could move to England despite only signing for French side Rennes last October.
Doku’s representatives are said to have already been in contact with Liverpool but the club will need to pay €50million (£42million) for his services.
Watford’s Sarr being targeted
Liverpool are reportedly being linked with a move for Watford winger Ismaila Sarr with the Championship side willing to accept a bid of £40million.
The Reds enquired about a move last season before being put off by his hefty price-tag, but Transfer Market Web claim the club have readied a bid in the same region.
The 23-year-old recorded 13 goals and 10 assists last season on his way to achieving promotion with Watford.
