Manchester City are not willing to give up on their summer pursuit for Harry Kane – and are said to be preparing a bumper new offer for Tottenham to consider.
The reigning Premier League champions may have spent £100m on Jack Grealish, but they still have cash in the bank as their look for a new striker.
Pep Guardiola has been open about his desire to see England skipper Kane join his playing squad – but admitted that Spurs did not want to negotiate.
With the new season beginning this weekend, City look to be readying a fresh bid to test the resolve of Daniel Levy following his refusal to talk.
Fabrizio Romano has reported that City are not giving up on Kane, and their board are preparing a new offer of £137million.
The 28-year-old recently denied reports that he was refusing to train in a bid to force a move, with Spurs set on keeping him beyond the summer.
Romano adds that although the north London side are yet to receive a proposal – City are willing to push to get their man.

Despite the ongoing links, Spurs are expecting Kane to play when they take on City in the Premier League on Sunday.
New Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo told Sky Sports News: "All the players that are in the squad are available.
"It is up to us to decided who we think are the best options."
When asked about Kane specifically, he added: "All the players in the squad that are working on a daily basis will be options for us."
Guardiola had said: "He (Kane) is a player for Tottenham Hotspur and if Tottenham don't want to negotiate, it is finished.
I think Man City and many clubs in the world want to try to sign him, we are not an exception, but it depends on Tottenham.
"It is different to Jack. He had the release [clause] and Jack is different. Harry is exceptional and we are interested in him but if Tottenham don't want to negotiate, nothing more to say."
