Man Utd already know Lewandowski’s stance, left-back linked, Diallo set for loan

It has been a terrific window so far for Manchester United who have utilised their pulling power to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund and Raphael Varane from Real Madrid.

Two multi-million pound signings have catapulted the Red Devils into the conversation for the Premier League title and their 5-1 battering of rivals Leeds United on Saturday has done them no harm.

But with less than two weeks left until the transfer window slams shut, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is working hard to trim his squad and bring in the necessary additions.

Here's the latest from Daily Star Sport on Man United's dealings in the transfer market…

Lewandowski blow

Robert Lewandowski has put every top European side on alert by admitting he wishes to join a new club before reaching the age of 35.

Currently contracted to Bayern Munich until 2023, the Bavarian side are in no need to sell their prized asset and value Lewandowski at more than £100 million.

Sky Sports report the Poland striker is understood to be frustrated by their reluctance to sell but is unlikely to do anything that will harm his good relationship with the club.

Even if Bayern were willing to part with their star man, a move to United would be out of the question; at least, that was his stance previously, as his former agent Cesary Kucharski explained in 2019.

"He had many offers," Kucharski told Pilka Noznaas quoted in the Mirror. "The thing is, his wife did not want to go to France (to PSG) – and both did not want to go to England.

"For Robert, only the Spanish sun counted, and only Real Madrid."

Left-back linked

With Alex Telles currently out injured and Brandon Williams seeking a loan move for regular football, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to bring in another left-back.

Diogo Dalot is capable of playing at right and left-back but the Norweigan would prefer someone with more pedigree and an out-and-out left-back.

The Daily Express report Layvin Kurzawa has been offered to Man Utd as a potential signing, with the Frenchman preferring a move to Old Trafford as opposed to anywhere else.

West Ham United and Lyon are also credited with an interest in the 28-year-old.

Diallo set for loan move

Amad Diallo is in talks with a Championship club over a season-long loan move, following in the footsteps of teammate Tahith Chong who signed for Birmingham City earlier in the window.

Football Insider claim United have given the green light for the Ivorian to search for a loan club, as the 19-year-old would have limited game time at Old Trafford due to the arrival of Jadon Sancho.

The report states that discussions are underway with Sheffield United and Diallo is keen to join a side where he can expect regular first team football.
