Man Utd fans furious after Bailly shares his own own goal on social media

Manchester United fans have reacted furiously to Eric Bailly's questionable social media post after the Ivorian shared images of the own goal he scored as Manchester City won the derby 2-0 at Old Trafford.

United's woeful home form in the Premier League continued as City took the Manchester bragging rights in their first meeting of the season.

And it was Bailly who was responsible for the opener inside six minutes, diverting into his own net from Joao Cancelo's cross.

Bernardo Silva scrambled home a second just before half-time, but United were well and truly dominated throughout the course of the game, with Bailly being taken off before the start of the second half.

However, in an attempt to reason with the United fans, the defender appears to have made things even worse.

Bailly tweeted not one, but two different angles of his own goal against City, much to the furore of the Red Devils fanbase.

"Nobody is more frustrated than me. I have to keep my head up, no excuses," he wrote.

However, the lack of judgement has sparked chaos amongst the United faithful, with one fan saying: "You posted the picture of you scoring an own goal?"

Another mocked the defender: "Hello Eric. We all make bad decisions chap. However, it's probably not a great shout to post the image of you finishing fantastically well into your own net?"

Some used the opportunity to voice their issues with under fire boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and even slate Harry Maguire.

One fan said: "You were better than Maguire… Ole is the problem… you have nothing to do with the loss."

Another added: "S*** happens but you never should have been substituted, Maguire should have gone off, he is in shockingly poor form."

One fan had really had enough: "WTF, I am just disgusted that you would think this is acceptable after not even turning up to the game.

"The OG was a mistake, but why post about it. None of the team turned up or had any fight today.

"I'm disillusioned by the club, the leadership and the players. It's disgraceful."
