Man Utd fans react to footage of Amad Diallo in action vs Man City U19s

Manchester United fans have high hopes for Amad Diallo after seeing highlights of the Atalanta winger at work. The Red Devils have agreed a deal for the Ivorian to move to Old Trafford in January 2021.

United are set to pay £37.1million for the 18-year-old, who has played less than 30 minutes of first-team football for Gian Piero Gasperini's side.

With little footage of Diallo readily available for United fans to watch, many have scoured the depths of the internet to find clips of their new signing in action.

Thankfully for them, footage of Traore running riot in Atalanta's UEFA Youth League clash against Manchester City last season soon started doing the rounds on social media, including Reddit.

And many of the old Trafford faithful were thoroughly impressed by what they saw of the teenager.

"I think he's a very promising youngster," one United fan said. "This is only a U19 game of course but he's shown some real quality and if he keeps developing then we've got ourselves a real gem."

Another said: "An actual right-winger that doesn't cut into the middle the moment he gets the ball? And he's quick as f**k. Sign me in."

"Looks like a good prospect," one Red Devils supporter said of the winger. "Like the fact he can cut inside and also hit the by-line and cross."

"Seems to work hard defensively and close down too," another wrote. "Obviously he will need time to develop but has all the potential to be a top-quality player."

"Diamond of a talent," said an excited fan. "Left-footed wingers who cut in are beautiful to watch."

Diallo made his Atalanta debut last October against Udinese and made the perfect start to first-team life, finding the back of the net in the 13 minutes he was given to make his mark.
