Man Utd made favourites to win Europa League after drawing LASK in last 16

Manchester United have been made favourites to win the Europa League after drawing Austrian outfit LASK in the Round of 16.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 's men booked their spot in the last 16 with a 5-0 victory over Club Brugge at Old Trafford on Thursday, having drawn the reverse fixture in Bruges a week previously.

January addition Bruno Fernandes was on target from the spot for the second game in succession against the Belgian league leaders, with fellow new boy Odion Ighalo also scoring against the Blauw-Zwart.

A Scott McTominay strike and second-half Fred brace clinched the tie for the Red Devils, who now face a trip to Linz in two weeks time.

That will mark the first occasion both sides have faced each other in Europe, with United hosting the Austrian Bundesliga frontrunners at Old Trafford the following week.

LASK finished as runners up in last year's Austrian top-flight campaign, booking a spot in the Champions League's third qualifying round as a result of their most successful league campaign since 1964/65.

A 5-2 victory over now Europa League rivals Basel allowed LASK to advance to the Champions League play-off round, but the one-time Austrian league victors were knocked out and into the Europe's secondary competition by Brugge, who advanced to the group stages.

Despite never qualifying from a European group previously, LASK finished as table-toppers in Group D, losing just one match on their way to taking 13 points out of a possible 18.

LASK are one of the least favoured teams left in the tournament after being drawn against Solskjaer's men in the last 16, with the bookies having the Austrian side at anywhere between 50 and 100/1 to win it all in Poland.

Only Basel, FC Copenhagen and Istanbul Basaksehir are at longer odds than United's opponents at many bookies', while Salzburg are priced similarly.
