Manchester United tied up an impressive 3-2 win over Arsenal at Old Trafford on Thursday night in Michael Carrick's last game at the club.
A new era can now begin, with Ralf Rangnick set to take charge until the end of the season before taking on a two-year consultancy role at the club.
New faces are bound to come in next month when the January transfer window opens to help the new boss implement his high-pressing style of play at Old Trafford.
A new centre midfielder is surely top of the list, but United may have lost ground in the race to sign Declan Rice to rivals Manchester City.
And while a winger may be on the way from Barcelona, one of United's forwards may be headed in the opposite direction.
Daily Star Sport has taken a look at the latest Manchester United transfer news below.
Barca have striker signing 'tied up'
Barcelona have got the signing of Edinson Cavani 'tied up', it has been reported.
According to El Nacional, the United forward was close to sealing a move to Camp Nou towards the final days of the summer transfer window.
But the club have now hit a potential hurdle, with new manager Xavi keen on signing a younger striker capable of playing for Barcelona for years to come.
The new boss would ideally love to secure a deal for Erling Haaland, the report adds, although Barcelona's financial difficulties would make any deal tricky to complete.

United 'positioned' for Barca winger
The Red Devils themselves, however, have ‘positioned themselves to sign' Barcelona forward Ousmane Dembele, according to reports.
Mundo Deportivo reports that Dembele is ‘already beginning to tire’ Barcelona chiefs with negotiations for a new contract ongoing.
The winger will be available on a free transfer next summer when his contract expires and is reported to interest Premier League clubs including Man United and Newcastle.
United are yet to ‘make a firm offer to the club in this winter market’, according to the report, although could wait until next summer to make their move.
City gain Rice advantage
Manchester City have reportedly gained an advantage in the race to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice.
Rice has been touted as a potential solution to United's defensive midfield problems, but could now be on his way to their arch-rivals instead.
According to 90min, West Ham are keen to sign City defender Nathan Ake and could use the interest to leverage a deal for Rice.
While City are reported to be 'not particularly keen to strengthen a positional rival' the report adds they 'may allow Ake to depart if West Ham incentivise the deal and indicate a willingness to discuss a future transfer for Declan Rice'.
