Lionel Messi has been pictured partying with old pals Cesc Fabregas and Luis Suarez while on holiday in Ibiza this week.

The trio, who were all accompanied by their stunning wives, were spotted enjoying their pre-season break at a luxury beach resort, as well as at the ginormous £260,000-a-week holiday home they're sharing on a private island nearby called Isla Sa Ferradura, which sits just near Ibiza's Bay of San Miguel (sounds tasty).

As well as the beautiful views, they have at their disposal a £8,600-a-day yacht called Shalimar II, a fine vessel that has in it luxury sofas, four cabins – and even a VIP area. On their holiday, the group dined out in the grand Izakaya restaurant, an eatery with gives grand views of the Ibiza marina

Messi celebrated his 35th birthday over the weekend, and prior to that he spent some time back Argentina visiting his family.

Messi and Fabregas have been good friends for over two decades having spent years playing together in Barcelona's famed La Masia academy, while Suarez has been one of the Argentine superstar's closest pals since he joined the Catalan club from Liverpool in 2014.

Both Suarez and Fabregas are days away from becoming free agents with their respective contracts at Atletico Madrid and AS Monaco set to expire at the end of the month.

Messi meanwhile is set to return to PSG for pre-season, where he will begin working under prospective manager Christophe Galtier – who is on the verge of replacing Mauricio Pochettino.

Despite winning Ligue 1, last season was a bit of a disappointment for Messi who ended the campaign with just 11 goals – his lowest tally since 2006.
